Welcome!

Think of therapy as your personal expedition into self-discovery. It's not about "fixing" what's broken – it's about understanding yourself better, one conversation at a time. When we sit together, I'm not just listening to your words; I'm trying to understand your world. I'll help you tune into your body's signals, make sense of your emotions, and figure out what truly matters to you.

There is no light without shadow, and no psychological wholeness without imperfection.

Carl Jung

In my fifteen years as a psychotherapist, I've learned that lasting change emerges from understanding the deeper patterns that shape our lives. Drawing primarily from psychodynamic theory, while integrating trauma-focused work and mindfulness practices, I create a space where past experiences can inform present growth.

Many of my clients initially seek therapy feeling trapped by anxiety, struggling with relationships, or sensing an unnamed disconnect between who they are and who they want to be. These challenges often signal deeper questions worth exploring. Through our work together, we'll move beyond surface-level solutions to understand the root of what brings you here.

I believe therapy is both an art and a science – a careful balance of insight and practical change. In our sessions, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, building trust and understanding as we go. This collaborative process helps you not just manage symptoms, but transform underlying patterns into opportunities for genuine growth.

My practice offers both in-person sessions in Tacoma's Stadium district and secure virtual appointments. I welcome you to take the first step in this important work.
